Air fryer Doughnuts.

Are you using your air fryer to it’s fullest potential?

These macro friendly doughnuts require little work or ingredients but punch well above their weight in terms of texture and flavour.

Ingredients:
🔹160g plain flour,
🔹1/2 Teaspoon baking powder,
🔹1/2 teaspoon bread yeast
🔹 180g 0% Fat Greek yogurt,
🔹10g stevia sweetener,
🔹Spray oil.

Icing
🔹15g whey protein powder,
🔹7g icing sugar,
🔹1 drop of food colouring (optional)
🔹Splash of unsweetened almond milk.

Directions: (Makes 2 Doughnuts)

1️⃣ Mix the dry ingredients for the doughnuts together in a bowl

2️⃣ Add the Greek yogurt and mix for form a dough

3️⃣ Divide the dough into two even amounts and shape each piece roughly into doughnut shape. Spray lightly with oil.

4️⃣ Place the doughnuts one at a time into the air fryer and bake for 20 minutes at 160°C

5️⃣ to make the icing mix all the ingredients together in a small bowl.

6️⃣ Allow the doughnuts to cool completely before icing.

Notes:

🔸 These can be baked in the oven but won’t be quite so good.

🔸 Be brave when it comes to adding the sweetener of these will come out bland.

🔸 If you don’t have bread yeast it’s difficult to replace it because you won’t get that awesome chewy texture without it.

🔸 Sprinkles are optional but highly encouraged.

🔸These make 2 very large dunken doughnut sized doughnuts. They’re easily big enough to share.
