Banana bread protein pancakes:

Sharing is caring!

I know, I know. Baking banana bread was a 2020 thing but trust me, try this one out for yourselves.

Not only a super satisfying and handy way to get 34g of protein but it also packs 1 of your 5 a day.

They’re also addictively good pancakes…

Ingredients:
🔹60g plain flour
🔹25g whey protein
🔹1 medium sized banana
🔹1/2 teaspoon baking powder
🔹2 Egg whites
🔹1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
🔹Splash of unsweetened almond milk.

1️⃣ Put a large frying pan on a low to medium heat (when cooking with protein its always best do it slow and low as it tends to burn easily).
2️⃣ Add the banana to a bowl and mash.
3️⃣ Add all the dry ingredients to the bowl.
4️⃣ Add the egg whites and mix.
5️⃣ Slowly add the milk a little at a time until you have a thick batter. (if you rather thinner pancakes, add more milk)
6️⃣ Spray the pan with cooking oil. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot pan. When you see bubbles start to form on the top, carefully flip each pancake over and allow to cook for about another minute.
7️⃣ Get your pancake on.

Notes:

🔸 I could eat these every single day and not get bored.
🔸 Syrup is optional but highly encouraged.
🔸 If you don’t like cinnamon you can omit it.
🔸 Recipe works as well in a waffle maker as it does in a pan.
🔸Yes I know I dropped some egg shell in there on the first egg.
