PHD smart bar birthday cake.

Appearance: 🔹Slightly over average size at 65g. These come with a creamy white coating, a layer of raspberry flavoured jam, cookie pieces and a nought like centre.

Texture🔹: Plenty of crunch from all the sprinkles and the coating has a great melt to it but the centre is just a bit too tough on this one, it hangs around just a bit too long and ends up being a bit grainy. I was also surprised to find a raspberry seed in there.

Taste🔹: Very very sweet, great vanilla flavour from the coating and the raspberry flavour from the jam layer comes through really strong, maybe too much so because it overpowers everything else.

Like the rest of the smart bar range the protein comes from a less favourable milk/soya/collagen hydrolysate blend. But the rest of the ingredients list is pretty good. Macros are also good with virtually no sugar. Impressive given how sweet these are.

Overall these pretty good but they are slightly let down by their overly chewy texture and overly strong raspberry flavour.
