CBD oil, my experience with it.

Sharing is caring!

Okay so this is a bit off topic for me but hear me out. A little while ago the managing director of a CBD oil company got in touch with me. It turns out the guy was a follower and asked me if I’d like to try his product. I’ve been seeing this stuff everywhere lately even in sports supplement stores so I guess it might somehow fall into my category.

What is it?

The first time I heard about CBD was the UFC 202 press conference when Nate Diaz caused a commotion by vaping CBD directly after the fight, and technically breaking a UFC anti-doping rule (this rule was eventually changed). Cannabidiol—CBD—is a cannabis compound that has significant medical benefits, but does not make people feel “stoned”.

CBD-rich cannabis is non-psychoactive. Cannabidiol is extracted from the flowers and buds of marijuana or hemp plants. It does not produce intoxication; marijuana’s “high” is caused by the chemical tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). The reason CBD is legal is because it contains no THC or only a trace amount.

Researched benefits of CBD oil include:

  • Relief from Pain and Inflammation
  • Reduction of Anxiety
  • Relief from Nausea
  • Reduction in Seizures
  • Lowers Incidence of Diabetes
  • Promotes Cardiovascular Health
  • Improves Insomnia

My experience with it:

I opted for a CBD oil (I’m not a vape guy). The recommended dosage is 4 drops kept under your tongue for 2-3 minutes to maximise absorption, increasing by 1 drop per week if needed. First impressions, this stuff has a strong earthy smell and taste to it, not unpleasant. I’ve read around online and found a lot of success stories from people who used CBD oil to treat anxiety, depression and insomnia. Fortunately for me I suffer from none of these but I did notice and increase in my mental focus. Even at 5am when my mind would normally be in half asleep mode and foggy I noticed it tends to sharpen up faster then normal. Even quicker then with caffeine. This mental focus seems to stick with me for the rest of the day and even at work I seem to be more productive then usual. Its a subtle effect but theres defiantly something to it.

My opinion:

I think I will continue to use it as for now, we currently have 3 month old at home and because sleep schedules are hit and miss I defiantly feel this helps me to focus on getting work done. is it for you? I think CBD oil could be a relatively cheap, natural alternative to treat anxiety, insomnia if you do suffer from them or even just a lack of mental focus. Its also claimed to be super effective for people who’s suffer from seizures.

For more information check out Charlotte Figi’s inspiring story, a 6-year-old girl diagnosed with a rare and resistant form of epilepsy known as Dravet syndrome, was actually given a “do not resuscitate” order. She was having 300 seizures a week that lasted hours. Her parents, desperate and frustrated with pharmaceutical medication, considered medical marijuana. Charlotte is now 99% seizure-free since she began supplementing a CBD oil. The brand even went onto name their product Charlotte’s web, after the little girl. Pretty astounding effects for a plant,

Massive thanks to https://www.drhempme.com for allowing me to try their oil.
