What’s in my gym bag?

Sharing is caring!

10mm Zulu Detonator lever belt:

My favourite belt ever, superb quality, adjustable and gives the best support. They were good enough to send me out a new strap but I have been too lazy to break it in yet.

Aster wrist wraps:

Fantastic wraps for extra support on any pushing movements. Bench press etc. I don’t wear straps too often but these are my favourites.

Jaybird X3s

Long lasting battery, great sound and amazing build quality. My favourite wireless headphones. These are getting on a bit now and have seen me though countless workouts but they’re still performing perfectly.

Athletic tape:

Good for holding together anything I feel is injured, strained or needs extra support. (Use sparingly, don’t be that guy that looks like he’s made out of tape)

Adidas adipower weightlifting shoes:

Probably one of my favourite purchases ever. The support these offer is absolutely next level. I find it hard to train without them. These are almost 3 years old, get worn practically ever session and are still in good shape.

Rouge lifting chalk ball.

Old school chalk beats the liquid stuff any day of the week in my opinion. This is good quality chalk that lasts quite a while and doesn’t make too much of a mess.

Bulk powders caffeine tablets:

Good early mornings or when I’m in need of some extra energy.

Otter box iPhone defender case:

Dust proof, shock proof, drop proof, pretty cheap and super effective. Has saved my phone on more occasions than I can remember.

Asics GT-2000

Hands down the best running shoes I have ever owned. (Because you can’t really run in lifting shoes). These have seen me through hundreds of kilometres, a half marathon and three 10k events. They really need replacing at this stage though because practically all the tread has worn away on the soles.

Got any suggestions for what should be in my gym bag?

Leave them below and I’ll look into them. Reviews for most of these are up on my website.

Much love,

Belt.
