Intermittent fasting in a nutshell:

Sharing is caring!

Continuing my series on oversimplifying commonly asked questions:

Intermittent fasting simply put is a term for an eating pattern that cycles between periods of fasting and eating.

Common intermittent fasting methods involve a 16 hour fast and an 8 hour eating window.

It is not❌: As complicated as it sounds, it can be as simple as choosing to skip breakfast and not eating until 1pm, resulting in much larger meals in a shorter time.

The silver bullet to weight loss. The basic principles remain the same. Calorie deficit is king.

A method that allows you to eat whatever you want because you fasted for 18 hours.

It does✅:

Make it easier to hit your macros, less meals = easier calculations.

Allow for some massive meals without the need to go over your calories.

Makes meal prep easier and results in less washing up.

I could honestly make this post about 1000 lines long but then I wouldn’t be oversimplifying it… Let me know if your enjoying this series and if it has been useful to you.

I’m off now for a birthday workout.

Love,

Belt.
