Optimum nutrition diet whey chocolate caramel.

Sharing is caring!

Appearance: 🔹About average size at an odd 53g. These have a chocolate coating a fudge like centre with biscuit pieces throughout.

Texture🔹: The fudgy centre had the right amount of chew and the biscuit like pieces throughout add a bit of contrast but these are pretty dull besides.

Taste🔹: The chocolate coating isn’t very And it had a bit of a weird aftertaste, almost like soap. Really unpleasant. Not sure where the caramel comes into it, all I can taste is sweet and soap… Macros📊

To be fair the macro split is okay with the protein coming from a whey concentrate but for some reason the ingredients list is like 30 items long. Including safflower oil with conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), L-carnitine, green tea extract. It’s like they took every “miracle fat burning” product on the market and just threw in there. Any effect these products do claim to have would surely do little in these such under-dosed amounts?

The taste is is just awful, the texture is dull and the ingredients list feels more like a sales pitch for a fat burner. I’m actually surprised that a big company like Optimum nutritional is putting out product that are this bad. Did anyone actually taste this before they launched it on the poor unsuspecting public?

2/10

Fails and pretty much everything. Shockingly bad.
